There are great opportunities for service at MCC! Get in the action of ministry! 

Greeters | Working in teams of two, MCC greeters offer regular attendees and visitors a warm smile and a bulletin at the beginning of worship services and Sunday School. Volunteers begin greeting 15 minutes prior to services and end 15 minutes after services begin.

Opportunities: 9:00 or 11:15 worship service or Sunday School - one or two Sundays per quarter (may choose dates that are best-suited to their personal schedule)

Requirements: regular church attendance

Ushers | These gentlemen act in a support capacity to the worship services by assisting with sanctuary seating, collecting the offering, taking attendance, and providing assistance throughout the building during services. Each usher is scheduled for a month (4-5 Sundays) once or twice a year as needed. A brief training session is provided.

Opportunities: 9:00 or 11:15 worship service (may choose month(s) that are best-suited to their personal schedule)

Requirements: regular church attendance

Audio/Visual Team | Volunteers provide support to worship services by staffing the audio/visual booth. The A/V team works closely with the music team to maximize the sight-and-sound experience at MCC. Training is provided.

Opportunities: 9:00 or 11:15 Sunday morning worship - one or two Sundays per quarter (may choose dates that are best-suited to their personal schedule)

Requirements: regular church attendance

Bulletin Prep Specialists | This much-overlooked but greatly appreciated volunteer folds the bulletins. No origami skills required.

Opportunities: every Friday morning from 9:15-10:30AM.

The MCC Nurseries | Our nursery volunteers care for the youngest and cutest in our church family! A brief orientation is available upon request to those considering volunteering to ensure comfort in and familiarity with our nursery suites. Our nursery check-in system provides security for our little ones as well as important info to those providing care. Cell phone paging allows for parent contact as needed. Camera surveillance of the nursery suites allows parents to monitor their children from the info center without disrupting childcare.

Opportunities: 9:00 or 11:15 Sunday morning worship or Sunday School hour - one or two Sundays per quarter (may choose dates that are best-suited to their personal schedule)

Children’s Worship Teachers | A special time of worship is offered for children age 4 through Grade 3. After a brief opening of prayer, announcements, singing, and offering, the children are dismissed to their classrooms where their teachers present a brief lesson and life application activities. Lesson packets are available two weeks prior to assigned Sundays. Potential teachers are welcome to sit in on a session or two to see what Children’s Worship is all about!

Sunday School Teachers | Consider committing to MCC’s comprehensive Sunday School program by teaching a Sunday School class. Classes are offered for 2s and 3s, 4s and 5s, Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, Middle School, High School, and Adult. Children and youth Sunday School terms run school year and summer. School-year teachers are replaced by a summer roster of teachers. Classes are team-taught with two to three teachers assigned to each.

Opportunities: 10:15 Sunday School / school year or summer session

Powered Up Volunteer Staff | Powered Up is our Thursday evening program for children Grades K-5. Two 10-week sessions are offered—one in the fall and one in the spring. Dinner is served at 5:30 then children follow a rotation to four stations—Bible story, memorization, craft, and recreation.

Opportunities abound for adults and youth! Kitchen help, station managers, group guides, crafts help, recreation and games, music, set up/clean up, food donations, registration and more!

Vacation Bible School Volunteer Staff 2011 | VBS is a week-long summer program offered for children through grade 5. Scheduled this summer for August 1-5 from 6:30-8:30PM, this fast-paced, high energy week will be the highlight of the summer for our church kids and those in the community.

Opportunities abound for adults and youth! Kitchen help, station managers, group guides, crafts help, recreation and games, music, set up/clean up, food donations, registration and more!
